yuque is a Japanese Yume Nikki Fangame created by 794810 in RPG Maker 2000.
It's publication was previously suspended from late 2020 to October 2024[1]; official downloads were made available again with the release of version 0.03.0.
Gameplay[]
Yuque is a traditional fangame. Sleeping in the bed lets you enter the dream world. From there, you can explore various worlds and collect effects (referred to as Buffers, バァファー). From version 0.02.5 onwards, certain Side Effects/Buffers can be combined with one another.
Interact with the laptop on the desk to save the game.

Plot[]
You start as a girl named Nire who wears headphones and doesn't want to go out of her room. Once she enters the dream world, her headphones will disappear. Not much is currently known about the plot.

Nire becomes a Karakasa-obake. Pressing Shift brings her back to the Nexus.
Using an item found elsewhere in the dream world called the "Umbrella Stand", Nire is able to place down a checkpoint anywhere within the dream world. The umbrella stand is accessible through the Skills menu, the same menu used to wake up. Using the Karakasa side effect with an umbrella stand placed down will take her back to said checkpoint instead of the Nexus. |

If this effect is equipped in Snow World, Nire will shiver and put on a grey cardigan. |

Nire wears a polar bear outfit. Pressing Shift makes her howl which causes NPCs to avoid her. There's a random chance of the outfit being brown instead of white when equipping the effect. |

Nire receives an afro hairstyle. Pressing Shift makes a baby bird peek out of her hair. The bird has a chance to be either green, white or yellow.

Nire's body becomes ashes. Pressing Shift causes ash to fall; each time you press Shift, Nire's body breaks down more and more as more ash falls, until she becomes a small pile of ash, rendering her immobile. Pressing Shift once more returns her to her original state and stops the ashfall. |

| Nesting Doll (いれこ) |     |
Nire becomes a nesting doll. Pressing Shift causes her to hop out and leave behind a bigger part of the doll behind as a marker. She can do this three times before reverting to her original size.
This functions as both a way to leave markers in the dream world as well as a way to enter small entrances. Unlike most marker effects in other Yume Nikki fangames, the markers that are left behind by this effect stay, even if the player moves to another map. However, these markers automatically disappear if the player switches to another effect. |
