Effects GuideEdit

This guide shows the fastest way to collect the effects. You can obtain all of the effects without having already unlocked the five extra doors in the Nexus, but unlocking them will allow you to travel much shorter distances.

Scrapbook (スクラップブック)Edit

Save anywhere

In Usotsuki's dream room interact with the bookshelf to get effect.

Match (マッチ)Edit

Become a match

YumeNisshiFaceset2

Appearance: Usotsuki's head turns into a match.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Shift) The match is lit. Pressing it again will blow out the flame and she will be left with a black burnt-out head. Pressing it a third time will bring it back to red.

Location: Found in Snow World.

Practical Uses: Can be used in the Dark Maze to make the paths much easier to see, as well as being crucial to finding effects like the Rabbit and doing other things. It can also be used to kill Hanabatake, unique in it's ability to kill an NPC outside of using the Nail bat.

In the Snow World, walk downwards until you hit a brick wall, and interact with a nearby girl wearing winter clothing to obtain the effect.

YumeNisshiFaceset5

Appearance: Usotsuki holds a nail bat.

Passive Effect: NPCs may move away from her.

Light the candle with the Match Effect and head right; you should enter the Rose Garden. From the entrance head up, up, right, and down, and then interact with the rabbit you should find.

Alternatively, if you have already unlocked the Red Sea World, go inside and find a tree that will take you to the Rose Garden, and from there search until you find the rabbit.

YumeNisshiFaceset19

Appearance: Usotsuki's lower body turns into a bird cage on two slim metal legs.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Shift) Causes Usotsuki to release the dove from her cage (if you have obtained it from a tent in the White Plains), then the dove will always return to Usotsuki's original dream room. When no dove is in the cage, pressing the shift covers Usotsuki's cage under the dress, and tied with a ribbon.

Go from the Amoeba World to the Library, and find and walk into an open closet to Apocalypse Mansion. Explore the area until you find a clock cat. If the clock is moving clockwise, you need to go to the right. If the clock is moving anticlockwise, go left. This operation must be repeated with all the clocks you find on the way, like an eye clock on a wall and a blue creature with a clock.

If done correctly, eventually you'll return to the clock cat room, which now will have an entrance in one of the walls. Go south and climb the ladder to a room that has a cage. Interact with the cage to obtain the effect.

For unknown reasons, this effect appears to be inaccessible in version 0.04+ since you can't enter the hidden door (possibly due to a bug). It is however accessible in version 0.05.

Pliant (ぐにゃぐにゃ)Edit

YumeNisshiFaceset22

Appearance: Usotsuki's body becomes soft and malleable, causing her form to distort as she moves.

Available from version 0.05 onward. You must have the Match effect or Horns effect first. While not required, having the Nail Bat effect is recommended to speed up currency collection, as 100 money is needed to access one of the areas.

First kill NPCs for money or find some randomly on the ground in the dream world (the rooms in hospital have a number of such spots that twinkle where there is money). Go from the Dark Maze to the Blue Box World, search for a neon streetlight and interact with it. Inside the Neon Forest, find an entrance leading underground. Continue along the path to the Train Station. Go left across the platform and take the elevator to the roof, then down to another elevator going down. Take the stairs to your left and follow the path back to the train station, where you'll be on the other side of the platform. Interact with the white creature to pay 100 money and board the train car. There is a small chance that instead of the usual green car you will be inside one with red seats and a lone shadowy figure. Take a seat and wait for Usotsuki to doze off and for the screen to fade to black. When she awakes, exit right through the gored bust into the Burning Room. Find a cluster of black figures and activate either the Horns or Match effect to reveal a wiggly shade in the middle. Interact with it to get the effect.

Alternatively, if you have already unlocked the Rainbow Forest World door, you can skip the first part of the directions.

From here you must avoid the chasers and, from the entrance, go down, right, up, right again, up again, left twice, up again and finally right until you find the pyramid in a crossroads surrounded by blood and traffic cones. Interact with the pyramid for the effect.
