Overview[]

"Nightmare Diary is a currently in-development Yume Nikki fangame by Kayya and Tap. The main character is KNF, who has bloodstains all over him in the real world. In the dream world he is known as Ketsueki (血液, lit. Blood Liquid), and the bloodstains are removed.

According to the official Tumblr's description: "There’s 8 effects and 12 worlds as of V0.2."

Gameplay[]

Nightmare Diary plays like a typical fangame. You enter the dream world by sleeping in the bed. Interacting with the bookshelf allows you to save. Your main goal is to explore the dream world and obtain effects. There is plenty of dialogue in the game as well.

Plot[]

KNF appears to have confined himself to his bedroom to dream. There are bloodstains covering KNF's bedroom and himself, the reason for this being unclear.

Blade		KNF carries a blade as his weapon.
Shadow		KNF becomes a shadow. Allows him to talk to shadow NPCs.
Raincoat		KNF wears a yellow raincoat and it begins to rain. Pressing Shift makes thunder sound.
Wings		KNF has a pair of wings. His left wing is cut and bloodied.
Blood		KNF is covered in blood, just like how he is when awake.
Formal Wear		KNF wears formal attire. Pressing Shift makes him change between a groom and brides outfit.
Lights		KNF is covered in lights. Pressing Shift makes the screen tint red, green or blue.
