Effects Guide[]
Randoseru (ランドセル)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki wears a red Randoseru.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki bows.
Location: Found in the Empty School Grounds.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter the gray door to enter the Empty School Grounds. Exit the classroom through the bottom-right door (bottom-left door will take you back to the Nexus. Enter the set of doors to your right in the hallway. Interact with the red bag on the floor.
Swim Tube (うきわ)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki wears a swimsuit and swim tube.
Passive Effect: Nejitsuki moves faster in water while this effect is equipped.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the Empty School Grounds.
Practical Uses: Can be used to move faster in water-filled areas.
Enter the gray door to enter the Empty School Grounds. Exit the classroom through the bottom-right door. When in the hallway go right and take the stairs going down. Exit through the glass doors to the right on the bottom floor. Interact with the life ring in the swimming pool.
Watering Can (じょうろ)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki holds a watering can.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki waters the ground in front of her.
Location: Found on the Sunflower Path.
Practical Uses: Required for an effect.
Enter the yellow door to the Sunflower Path. Take the path on the left and keep going left until you reach a dead-end. Interact with the watering can.
Hair Dye (ヘアカラー)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki's hair is dyed a random color.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki's hair color changes.
Location: Found in the Sky Maze.
Practical Uses: None.
Watering Can effect is needed.
Enter the gray door. Exit the classroom through the door on the right. Go right and take the stairs going up. On the next floor take the stairs to your right again and you should arrive at the rooftop. Go left, equip the Watering Can and press the Shift key while facing the flower pot. A plant will begin sprouting out from the pot.
Once the plant becomes a giant stalk, walk up the stalk to reach the Sky Maze. There will be two rainbows to your north; interact with the rainbow on the left. Doing so will take you to another platform. Turn around and interact with the rainbow behind you. repeat this last step twice and you should arrive at a platform with a rainbow intersecting with yours. Go left and interact with the other rainbow, you'll be sent to a platform with a white bottle on the ground. Interact with the bottle to get the effect.
Recorder (リコーダー)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki holds a recorder.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki plays the recorder.
Location: Found in the conical house in the Shallow Sea.
Practical Uses: None.
Having the Swim Tube effect is recommended.
Enter the blue door to the Shallow Sea. Go north-east from the door and enter the conical house on a separate patch of sand. Inside the house will be a cyclops NPC and a carpet resembling a keyboard. Walk over the carpet once or twice then interact with the NPC to get the effect (it may take a couple of tries to get it).
Balloon (ふうせん)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki holds a blue balloon.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki tugs on the balloon and is teleported back to the Nexus.
Location: Found in the Sunny Forest.
Practical Uses: Used to quickly return to the Nexus.
Enter the yellow door to the Sunflower Path. Take the north path and follow it until the path splits in two directions. Take the path going up and step into the middle of the lighter patch of grass. In the forest area, go left and interact with the balloon floating by a tree.
Severed Head (なまくび)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki becomes a moving severed head.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki jumps up and spins on the spot.
Location: Found in the Dark Shrine.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter the yellow door to the Sunflower Path. Take the north path and follow it until the path splits in two directions. Take the path going up and step into the middle of the lighter patch of grass. In the forest area, go right and cross the bridge. Follow the path until you reach the northern edge of a lake. Go right from the lake and go up under the torii. Go north and enter the shrine. Walk up in the hallway until a head drops down behind you. Interact with the head to get the effect.
Sir Star (おほしさま)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki's head becomes a ball of light.
Passive Effect: Lights up dark areas.
Action: (Shift) The light on her head glows.
Location: Found in the whale.
Practical Uses: Lights up dark areas.
Having the Swim Tube and Balloon effects is recommended.
Enter the blue door to the Shallow Sea. Go straight down from the door until you see a whale spouting water. Step in front of the whale's mouth. Once you're inside the whale's mouth go right and interact with the yellow triangle to get the effect.
Kick Scooter (キックボード)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki rides on a kick scooter.
Passive Effect: Nejitsuki movement speed increases.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the Stone Maze.
Practical Uses: Allows you to travel through the dream world faster.
Having the Sir Star effect is recommended.
Enter the purple door to the Stone Maze. Wander around; find and interact with the scooter.
Towel Blanket (タオルケット)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki is wrapped in a pink blanket.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki puts the towel over her head.
Location: Found in the Snack World.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter the white door to Snack World. Go south-east to a stick of cotton candy and step into it. Interact with the towel next to the sitting NPC.
Short Hair (ショートヘア)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki now sports a short hair style.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki sits down.
Location: Found in the Coral Seabed.
Practical Uses: None.
Having the Swim Tube effect is recommended.
Enter the blue door to the Shallow Sea. Go north-east until you come up to the conical house. Once there, go north-east again until you find some rocks and bubbles. Interact with the bubbles to go to the Coral Seabed then go immediately to the left and find a red crab. Interact with the crab to get the effect.
Dress (ワンピース)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki wears a white dress with her hair in a ponytail.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki’s hairstyle changes back to her twintails.
Location: Found in Rundown Subway.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter the blue door to the Shallow Sea. Go diagonally north-west until you find a gray rectangle tunnel. Enter it to arrive at the Rundown Highway. Walk west until you find a shack with a open white door. Enter the door to reach the Rundown Subway. Immediately turn right and go up the metal stairs to get to the other side. Once there, walk left to a shadow lady in the shade with a straw hat and a dress. Interact with her to receive the effect.
Straw Hat (むぎわらぼうし)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki wears a straw hat with a blue ribbon.
Passive Effect: Is part of the Tanktop's effect action.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki's outfit changes to a white dress. She will switch back to her uniform when the action is pressed again.
Location: Found in the White Lighthouse.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter the yellow door to the Sunflower Path. Go north, east, then north again to reach a flower filled patch. Go to the middle of it to enter The Forest. Go east across the bridge and follow a light green path. After crossing two more bridges and going down, you should arrive at a open area with weeds on an open light green oval. Go to the center of it to reach the Forest Clearing. Once at the Forest Clearing, go immediately north and cross a wooden dock to The Docks.
The Docks will be filled with tiny black creatures with white eyes. In order to unlock the gate at the front of the dock, you will need to interact with every last tiny black creature. Doing this will make the environment around you slowly transition from day to night until you hear a clicking noise. Once you do, go up to the front of the docks, get rid of the final creature in your way and go through the door. You will then find the entrance to the White Lighthouse. Enter it and interact with the shadow woman to your right to get the effect.
Butterfly Net (むしとりあみ)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki carries a butterfly net.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki raises the net and starts sneaking. Pressing Shift again makes her swing the net down.
Location: Found in the Forest Railroad.
Practical Uses: Needed for an effect.
Enter the yellow door to the Sunflower Path. Go north, east, then north again to reach a flower filled patch. Go to the middle of it to enter The Forest. Go east across the bridge and follow a light green path. After crossing two more bridges and going down, you should arrive at a open area with weeds on a open light green oval.
Go to the center of it to reach the Forest Clearing. Go right again to the second rectangle opening in the tree wall and go down into it. You'll arrive at The Forest Railroad. Go left from here and interact with the butterfly net resting on the side of a tree.
Round Hand Fan (うちわ)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki holds a blue round hand fan.
Passive Effect: None.
Action (Shift) Nejitsuki fans herself with the fan.
Location: Found in the Sunflower Railroad.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter the Firework Door to the Fireworks Sky. Go up a little bit then follow a path of small star clusters (not the large one) until you find a open gray rectangle tunnel. Enter it to reach the Firework Railroad. Go west through the tunnel to the Forest Railroad. Continue going west and go through the next tunnel to reach the Sunflower Railroad. Once there, keep going west until you find a blue hand fan on the ground. Interact with it to get the effect.
Cat (ねこ)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki becomes a white cat.
Passive Effect: Nejitsuki will step away when interacting with water.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki meows.
Location: Found in Stone Maze Rooftop.
Practical Uses: Allows you to fit into small places.
Effect is available on days 7-8, 16-17 and 27-28.
Once the calendar date is on the 7th, 8th, 16th, 17th, 27th or 28th, sleep and enter the purple double doors to the Stone Maze and follow these directions very carefully. Go: Left, Down, Left, Down, Left, Left again, Down, Down again, Right, Down. To your right should be the stairs leading to Stone Maze Level 2. Take them to Level 2 and once again follow these directions. Go Down, Left, Left again, Up, Right, immediately Up, Left, Up, Right, Up, Right, Up, Left, Down, Left, Down, Left, and finally Up.
You should now see the stairs to the Stone Maze Rooftop. Once there, you will see a cat sitting on a bench. Interact with it to get the effect. There is a shortcut leading back to the start found by going back Down, Right, Up, then Left by interacting with the metal ladder.
Juice (ジュース)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki turns into juice.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki turns into a slimy version of herself, pressing Shift again turns her back to normal.
Location: Found in Fireworks Sky Subway.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter the blue door to the Shallow Sea. Go diagonally north-west until you find a gray rectangle tunnel. Enter it to arrive at the Rundown Highway. Walk west until you find a shack with a open white door. Enter the door to reach the Rundown Subway. Go right and head up the metal stairs to get to the other side of the station. Once there, sit on one of the benches and wait for the screen to fade to black.
When the screen fades back in, there should be a train parked at the subway. Go up the metal stairs to your right then enter the train. Sit on the chair inside the train to be taken to The Fireworks Sky Subway. Exit the train then go right and interact with the vending machine on the platform.
In older versions of the game (up to 2.02), there is a random chance for a train to be parked at the Subway. If it is not there, leave then re-enter the subway until it appears. Once the train is there, enter it and talk to the monkey and select option 2. The train will take you to The Fireworks Sky Subway where the vending machine is.
Wind Chime (ふうりん)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki holds a blue wind chime.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki lifts up and rings the wind chimes.
Location: Found in Japanese Household’s Porch.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter the fridge door to Snack World. Walk west until you hit a pink popsicle, then go north until you see a different white door. Go through the white door to enter The Japanese Household. The house itself is completely random, every door leading to a random place. You will need to keep going through random doors until you reach The Japanese Household’s Porch. Once there, interact with the wind chimes on the ground to the right.
Yukata (ゆかた)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki wears a blue and yellow yukata with sandals.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki will lift her leg and spin in a circle.
Location: Found in Hidden Forest Path.
Practical Uses: Required to get two effects.
Enter the fridge door to Snack World. Walk west until you hit a pink popsicle, then go north until you see a different white door to your left. Enter the door to reach The Japanese Household. If the player has reached the porch before, entering the brown door on the left in the kitchen will take you outside. If not, the house itself is completely random with every door leading to a random room. You will need to keep going through random doors until you reach The Japanese Household’s Porch.
Now that you are outside, go down and leave through a gap in the bottom wall. This will lead you to The Neighborhood Streets. Go left then immediately go down the first path in the road to find the Highway Railroad. Once there go in either direction until you find an open railroad crossing. Go through it to the Rice Fields. Go east until you enter the next field and follow the dirt path going south. Once in the next area, go east into the Hidden Forest Path. Once there, approach the torii and walk up under it until you see a young girl in a yukata. Interact with her to get the effect.
Water Balloon (みずふうせん)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki wears her yukata and has a yellow water balloon in her left hand.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Summer Festival.
Practical Uses: None.
Available on days 21-28. Yukata is required for this effect.
Once the calendar is 21st-28th, go to sleep and enter the yellow door to the Sunflower Path. Go north, east, then north again to reach a flower filled patch. Go to the middle of it to enter The Forest. Go east across the bridge and follow a light green path until you reach a place where the path turns left. Go right (away from the path) until you reach a red torii. Equip the Yukata, walk up under the torii and enter the shrine. Once inside walk up until a head drops down behind you. Start walking up again to reach the Summer festival. Once at the festival, turn left and interact with a water balloon in a tub of water to get the effect.
Mask (おめん)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki wears her Yukata with a white fox mask on the side of her head.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Nejitsuki puts on the mask, taking it off on the next Shift press.
Location: Found in Summer Festival.
Practical Uses: None.
Available on days 21-28. Yukata effect is needed.

Butterfly (ちょうちょ)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki has two big blue and black butterfly wings sprouting out of her back.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Butterfly Forest Path.
Practical Uses: Allows the player to reach certain areas.
Butterfly Net is needed.
Enter the yellow door to the Sunflower Path. Go north, east, then north again to reach a flower filled patch. Go to the middle of it to enter The Forest. Go east across the wooden bridge but instead of going down the light green path, turn to the north and go up a very narrow path right next to the river. (not the larger path going upwards) until you find a small dark gap in the trees.
Enter this gap to reach the Butterfly Forest Path. Once there, look for a blue butterfly in the area. Once you find it equip the Butterfly Net, press Shift to hold up the net and then press Shift again front of the butterfly to catch it. Once you catch it, you will get the effect.
Tanktop (ノースリーブ)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki wears a tanktop.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) If the Straw Hat effect has been obtained, Nejitsuki will put on a straw hat.
Location: Found in Nejitsuki's Dream Bedroom.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter Nejitsuki's dream bedroom and interact with the drawer at the bottom-right corner of her room.
Paper Plane (かみひこうき)[]
Appearance: Nejitsuki rides on top of a paper airplane.
Passive Effect: Nejitsuki's movement speed increases.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Sky Garden.
Practical Uses: Faster travel on all types of land and water tiles without being slowed.
Butterfly effect is needed.
Enter the Gray Door to the Empty School Grounds. Exit the classroom through the door on your right. Once in the hallway go right and take the stairs going up twice to reach the school rooftop. Equip the Butterfly effect and use it on the left most ledge of the roof to fly off of it. You'll then will need to wait without pressing space until the screen fades out. Once it does, you will arrive at the Sky Garden. Go up and look for a paper airplane. Interact with it to get the effect.
Events[]
Unlocking the minigame[]
Enter the fridge door to Snack World. Walk west until you hit a pink popsicle, then go north until you see a different white door to your left. Enter the door to reach The Japanese Household. The house itself is completely random, every door leading to a random place. You will need to keep going through random doors until you reach a room with two futons (one red and one blue) placed next to each other. Interact with the notebook on the table beside the futons.
You'll arrive at a world filled with pencils and notebooks. Go right from where you entered until you're standing on the middle of a green notebook. Go south from this notebook and you should pass over a notebook with a doodle of a door on the right-hand page. Go into the doorway of this doodle to be teleported. From where you're teleported, go right until you're standing between the pages of another green notebook, then go up and interact with the video game console.
NATSU[]
Doing all of this will unlock a new option in your menu (accessed by opening it and selecting the second option) called Video Game (テレビゲーム). Selecting this option while awake and facing the TV in your bedroom will allow you to play a minigame called NATSU. NATSU is a collecting minigame similar to NASU, letting one of the falling objects touch the ground results in a game over.
Night-time Amusement Park[]
Enter the Firework Door to the Fireworks Sky. Go right until you cross over the large line of star clusters, then go north and follow this line. You should find a yellow and pink archway; entering it will take you to the entrance of an amusement park that's blue on one side and pink on the other. There are several rides that can be ridden (accessed by interacting with the NPCs that can be found standing at the entrance to these rides.
There are three rides in total: two at the entrance (one on each colored path) and one at the very top of the area. To unlock a later section in the game, you will need to ride the ferris wheel multiple times until Nejitsuki appears in the image inside the ferris wheel carriage. This will likely take a few tries as this has a low chance of happening.
Sunflower Path Hot Air Balloon[]
There is a random chance when exploring the Sunflower Path that a clicking noise will start playing and a pink hot air balloon will pass over you. This is likely a reference to the takofuusen event from the original Yume Nikki.
The Abandoned Tree House[]
Enter the yellow door to the Sunflower Path. Go north, east, then north again to reach a flower filled patch. Go to the middle of it to enter The Forest. Go east across the wooden bridge but instead of going down the light green path, turn to the north and go up a very narrow path right next to the river. (not the larger path going upwards) until you find a small dark gap in the trees.
Enter this gap to reach the Butterfly Forest Path. Once there, you may notice there is path to the right that loops. Instead of going back, keep going to the right till you eventually reach a wooden bridge crossing a chasm. Cross it and keep going right till you reach a open area with ladder leading up into a treehouse. Strangely, you will now be unable to equip any effects, despite this not being a full on wake up event, until you leave the area in which you immediately will be brought back to the Butterfly Forest Path.
Hidden Manhole[]
Enter the fridge door to Snack World. Walk west until you hit a pink popsicle, then go north until you see a different white door to your left. Enter the door to reach The Japanese Household. If the player has reached the porch before, entering the brown door on the left in the kitchen will take you outside. If not, the house itself is completely random with every door leading to a random room. You will need to keep going through random doors until you reach The Japanese Household’s Porch.
Now that you are outside, go down and leave through a gap in the bottom wall. This will lead you to The Neighborhood Streets. Go to the left then take the first path going upwards that you see. Once in the next room, go to the right till you find a dirt path that will lead you to a small open area. In the top left corner of the room there will be a tree with a small crack in the wall. Equip the Cat effect and use it to enter this crack to find a hidden room with a single manhole. The secrets behind this manhole are still as of now unknown, but it possibly might be the grounds for a far bigger event in the future.
A Butterfly’s Flight[]
Enter the Gray Door to the Empty School Grounds. Exit the classroom through the door on your right. Once in the hallway go right and take the stairs going up twice to reach the school rooftop. Equip the Butterfly effect and use it on the left most ledge of the roof to fly off of it to trigger the event. You can return from it by pressing space at anytime, but if you do stay on it for a awhile, you also can arrive at the Sky Garden. Where you can find the Paper Plane effect which also can be used to trigger the same event. This is a reference to the Witch’s Flight event from the original Yume Nikki.
The Summer Festival[]
When the calendar is 21st-28th, go to sleep and enter the yellow door to the Sunflower Path. Go north, east, then north again to reach a flower filled patch. Go to the middle of it to enter The Forest. Go east across the bridge and follow a light green path until you reach a place where the path turns left. Go right (opposite of the path) until you reach a red torii. Equip the Yukata, walk up under the torii and enter the shrine. Once inside walk up until a head drops down behind you. Start walking up again to reach the Summer festival. Getting this event is needed to find the Water Balloon and Mask effects.
Self Reflection[]
There are two paths leading to this event. The first way is to go to the Empty School Grounds and exit out of the right door. Go right until you find a staircase and go up the stairs on the right one once. Then go right into the Library; there will be a locker at the top left corner of the room. Interact and it will either open or be locked.
The other path can be found at the underwater aquarium. To get there, enter the Snack World then go south-east from the door and enter the large glass placed on its side. This will take you to the Coral Seabed. Go north-west from where you are standing and enter the square gray building to reach the aquarium. Go right three times and you will be in a dark hall with a door at the other side with an exit sign above it. Interact with the door and it will either open or be locked.
If both doors are locked, wake up, go to sleep and try again. It is extremely rare so this might take some time. If the door opens, you should arrive in a gray room with a painting of a cloud on the wall with a white bed to the right. Attempt to sleep in this bed until Nejitsuki is facing right while sleeping and wait for the screen to fade out.
Once it does, you will reappear in a large checkerboard room with 3 dimensional shapes and black stick figures as a shadow version of Nejitsuki that is named ??? in the menu. To trigger the event, you will need to locate and destroy 5 mirrors, two rectangles, two squares and one circle. Breaking the first one however, will also awaken the stick figures who now will be actively chasing you. If caught by one, you will be sent to a room full of phones that will ring as you pass them. Getting out of this room normally is unfortunately impossible without either waking up or using the Balloon effect.
You can try the event again if you don’t wake up too as long as you have the Balloon effect. Once all five mirrors are broken, Nejitsuki will be forced to wake up, ending the event. Strangely Nejitsuki’s reflection in the mirrors is seen with her eyes open instead of closed and her looking more happy, while also shifting at times to a more bored looking figure as well. Completing this event also cause some glass shards to appear at the bottom of Nejitsuki's bedroom next to the balcony door.
Firefly Forest[]
(This event only occurs on certain days.)
Enter the yellow door to the Sunflower Path. Go north, east, then north again to reach a flower filled patch. Go to the middle of it to enter The Forest. Go east across the bridge and follow a light green path. After crossing two more bridges and going down, you should arrive at a open area with weeds on an open light green oval. Go to the center of it to reach the Forest Clearing. Once at the Forest Clearing, go immediately north and cross a wooden dock to The Docks.
The Docks will be filled with tiny black creatures with white eyes. Go around The Docks and interact with every tiny black creature. Doing this will make the environment around you slowly transition from day to night until you hear a clicking noise. Once you hear the clicking sound, exit The Docks from the south path the go left past the edge of the water. You'll arrive at the Firefly Forest where you can walk around and watch the fireflies from above.
Rooftop Fireworks[]
Follow the guide for the Cat effect until you reach the rooftop where the effect is obtained. You can sit on the benches on the rooftop to watch a fireworks display.
Stiff Neck[]
Go to the Empty School Grounds and exit out of the right door. Go right till you find a staircase and go up the right one once. Then go right into the Library, there will be a locker at the top left corner of the room. Interact and it will either open or be locked. If it is locked, wake up, go to sleep and try again, it is extremely rare so this might take some time. If you opened it, you should arrive in a gray room with a painting of a cloud on the wall with a white bed to the right. Attempt to sleep in this bed till Nejitsuki is facing right while sleeping and wait for the screen to fade out.
Once it does, you will reappear in a large checkerboard room with 3 dimensional shapes and black stick figures as a shadow version of Nejitsuki. If you sleep in the bed in this checkerboard room you will be sent to another room. Pinch yourself awake and Nejitsuki will wake up with a stiff neck, her head turned to the side. Nejitsuki will not be able to save or look at the calendar while in this state. Sleeping in the bed will return her to normal on the next wake up.
Diary[]
Collect all of the effects then enter the gray door from the Nexus. Exit the classroom then go right and head downstairs. Exit the school through the left hallway then exit the school grounds through the gate. Keep re-entering and exiting the school grounds; there is a random chance that you will be teleported to a checkerboard room with squares around the border as a shadowy form of Nejitsuki.
Make your way to the top-left corner of this area while avoiding the stick-figure chasers. South of the top-left corner are two cubes against a shadowed-over floor that you can walk between to reach a room with a desk. Interacting with the desk reveals a diary with images shown on screen. Read through the diary by pressing the left arrow key. If you read all the pages a giant pink bunny will appear behind the desk. After making the bunny appear, exit the room and Nejitsuki will wake up.
Endings[]
Ending 1[]
Ending 1 has two versions:
Version 1[]
Collect all the effects and wait for the date to reach the 31st. Go to sleep in your bed: when you wake up the Dream World will be glitched. In the Nexus the only working door will be the gray one that brings you to the Empty School Grounds. Walk outside the school and exit through the gate: the line of schoolgirls blocking the way will be gone and you will be able to move on the road. Interact with the bloody puddle. After a short cutscene, you will wake up the your room again. Interact with the door.
Version 2[]
Follow the instructions for Version 1, but instead of interacting with the door go to the balcony and interact with the stairs.
Ending 2[]
To unlock this ending you must obtain all of the effects and done the following events:
- Unlocked/played NATSU
- Sunflower Path Hot Air Balloon
- Amusement Park
- The Abandoned Tree House
- Firefly Forest
- Self Reflection
- Rooftop Fireworks
- Diary
Wait for the 31st to come around then sleep in your bed. The Dream World will be glitched and the only working Nexus door will be the gray one leading to the Empty School Grounds. Walk outside the school and exit through the gate. Go right and interact with the schoolgirls blocking your path to make them move out of the way. A short cutscene will play once you reach the front of the line.
You will now have switched to playing an unnamed character. Ending 2 has four versions based on what you do from here:
Version 1[]
Exit the bedroom through the door next to the TV.
Version 2[]
Go to the balcony, walk onto the stairs and press the interact key at the edge.
Version 3[]
Interact with the toy on your bed to pick it up then walk to the bed on the other side of the bedroom. Select the pop-up on the dialogue box to sleep in the bed and watch the credits.
Version 4[]
Interact with the toy on your bed to pick it up. Go out the balcony, walk onto the stairs and press the interact key to watch the credits. After the credits roll you will be back on a balcony. Go inside for another cutscene and the screen will fade to the title. If you go to start a new game after getting this version of Ending 2...
Second Route[]
...You will start on the balcony as the same unnamed character as before. If you go inside and interact with the desk at the top of the room you will be sent to the Nexus. Here, your goal is to find and interact with each Nejitsuki wandering in the dream world. Different versions of Nejitsuki can be found at the following locations:
Gray Door[]
- In the swimming pool (found by exiting the classroom then going downstairs and through the doors on the right).
- On the rooftop (exit the classroom then go upstairs).
- In the Sky Garden near the pillars (go up the beanstalk on the rooftop; on the first cloud, go under the rainbow closest left then walk under the green archway).
Purple Door[]
- Walking around on the rooftop north from the door.
Blue Door[]
- To the right of the door next to a sand castle.
- In the conical house just south-east of the door.
- In the aquarium (interact with the bubbles to the top-right of the conical house, then go right in the underwater area and enter the gray building). If you go right twice inside the aquarium you will arrive at a long hallway where two Nejitsukis can be found, one walking around and one sitting on a bench at the darker end of the hall.
Starry Door[]
- In the Firefly Forest (accessed by interacting with the firefly)
- In the Amusement Park (go a few steps down then right from the door and go under the archway.).
- One Nejitsuki can be interacted with outside the ferris wheel. Going on the ferris wheel will show a short cutscene.
- Another Nejitsuki can be found sitting on a bench by following the blue tile path to the left of the entrance.
Yellow Door[]
- On a bench to the left of the yellow door.
- In the forest path area (Take the north path then go left and step into the light green white flower patch.
- One Nejitsuki can be found south from the sunflowers on a picnic blanket.
- Going into the tree path to the right of the picnic blanket then crossing the wooden bridge will lead you to the entrance of the tree house, where another Nejitsuki wanders around.
- Going south from the picnic blanket and stepping into the grass triangle in the middle of the lighter grass patch. There will be a Nejitsuki walking around south of the docks entrance.
- Go up onto the docks then go north and enter the lighthouse. One Nejitsuki can be found at the top.
White Door[]
- One Nejitsuki can be found wandering south-east from the door (near where the cotton candy is).
- At the porch of The Japanese Household. To get there, go south-east and enter the white door south of the cotton candy. Inside the house, go under the bead curtain then go right and enter the second set of sliding doors on the bottom wall. Go south again to exit the bedroom and reach the porch.
- Head out by stepping off the porch and following the dirt path. Exit the house through the entrance to the left. Once you're on the street, go right and step onto the dirt path above the sidewalk. There should be another Nejitsuki walking around in the dirt area.
- If you go left past the house and follow the south road, you will be near a railway crossing. Go left and cross the railway then go right in the rice field before taking the dirt path going south. Keep following the dirt path and you will arrive at a Torii gate. Go up past the torii and you'll arrive at a set of festival stalls under a night-time sky. Nejitsuki can also be found wandering around.
Once you have found all of the Nejitsuki's, open the menu, select the second option and choose to equip the knife. You will now have to find and kill every Nejitsuki in this section (including the one in the bedroom) in order to progress to the third and final section of the game.
Third Route[]
Once you have killed every Nejitsuki in the dream world, go back to the bedroom and exit through the door in the bedroom. You will now be controlling a different nameless character who stays in a small gray bedroom. Aside from the diary, the only other interactable object is the bed. If you exit to the menu, the screen will now have static and you won't be able to load in any previous saves; the new game option will bring you back to the small bedroom.
Sleeping in the bed will take you to a new Nexus with four paths leading to different worlds. Take the top-left path then go south-east and enter the left-facing blue entryway. Go south-east again and enter the next left-facing blue entryway. In the finger and hands world, go south-east and step between two disembodied hands facing away from each other.
You should now be standing on a blue platform. Go down three platforms, then go left and down another two platforms. Go down the stairs between the two figures on their knees. Take the stairs to your left and keep going left until you reach a lower-level platform with a south-facing stairway right next to some right-facing stairs. Go down said stairs then go straight to the right and interact with the object on the ground at the dead-end.
This object will bring you to a maze. Make your way south-east while avoiding the chasers and find and interact with the red schoolbag. You will now be in a glitched out version of the school. Go south-east once more and enter the gray double doors. Interact with the NPC standing at the top-left corner of the classroom to watch the ending.
