Overview[]
Muma Rope (Muma│Rope) is an English Yume Nikki fangame coordinated by Ephy and developed by many others. It stars Muma, a lucid dreamer unable to escape her unconscious mind.
Gameplay[]
Muma Rope is a non-traditional fangame, as it lacks many features typical of a Yume Nikki fangame. The player will immediately notice that they do not have access to their menu and as such, cannot use the items they collect. These items are known as Memories, and only serve as progress towards one of the game's endings. Another unusual trait is the inability to "wake up", as the game begins in the Memory Room. This room can be returned to at anytime and replaces any sort of bedroom. Saving can be done by interacting with the drawing on the right in the Memory Room. The nexus is also not present immediately upon leaving this room, and other worlds must be discovered from the starting location known as First Steps.
In addition, this game offers many other forms of gameplay hidden throughout the dream world, such as RPG-style fighting and platforming. These are usually accessed through arcade machines as mini-games within the world. Both of these genres present the risk of "death" upon taking too much damage, in which Muma will be returmed to her Memory Room where she originally started.

Plot[]
You play as a girl named Muma, who either choose to live inside her dreams or is unable to wake up entirely. Due to the noose seen directly north of her Memory Room, it is possible she struggles to accept her reality or is battling heavy suicidal thoughts.
