Is it possible you could remove/archive/delete articles on games that never got released by creators that stopped being active years ago? There's a bit of clutter in the recommendations and stuff, since a lot of these are just creators writing their own game pages and then quitting development to inertia without even a demo.
I call editing lots and lots of pages to perfection "modding", the work of a website moderator (mod, for short). You are right to be confused, as I do not have a mod's privilege on this website. I'm just a very active contributing user like the rest of the (currently active) editors around here.
There are currently no title/privilege assignment, as our administrator/site owner has been absent since April 2013 (!).
Don't you think there are too many screenshots in some fangames' galleries? Last year I was very excited about EVERY. LITTLE. THING/event that happened in each game I captured screenshots for, so I ended up posting around 100-150 screenshots per game....
And another thing, I've just made this - A partial list of engines w/o categories (Engine - Fangame(s) made with it)
Actually, I didn't ask you for that... I don't even know what a moderator can, should and shouldn't do in here. And I'm only reliable when I'm around, because I tend to leave the Wiki for uncertain time spans.
Thank you for assigning me to this post regardless :3
Ah, thank you! I really appreciate this gesture, and I choose to keep that position. It's an honor to officially become a moderator here, since I made so many edits and been here for more than one year in a row.
I probably won't use the talk pages powers unless instructed to, maily because barely have any experience in that field.
So, if we are going to trim down pages, then I would like to say that there is some rather unnessisary parts in the N'Oubliez Jamais guide. (i.e RPG Maker 2003 controls, the stuff about the characters room, the whole "this page is incomplete feel free to add to it" message, etc.)
About N'Oubliez Jamaises guide, even though in general it is written in a bit exaggerated, wannabe-artsy way, removing information isn't always the answer. I think that the text can be rewritten in a more collected way, with the exception of RPG Maker controls section.
I got a cool idea when you said today is Monotose's b-day. We could create a calendar with all of the release dates of notable games (that is, if they have an exact date). It could have some kind of a pop-up that shows which fangames were "born" today.
Wth.. something must be wrong, but I have no idea what. Thank you for the report.
Does that happen with any of my translations, or just this one?
Maybe I've rushed this release too much and messed up the files in GIMP. Aww, shucks. I tried looking this problem up and doing the steps they offer, but nothing seems to work. I should probably take this version off the net for now, right?
HimeNikki wrote: Nice tutorial, I appreciate the gesture. I tried to follow it, but the images now do show up in the game without crashing, but they become transparent. (Like in the image attached to this post)
I'm planning to update Debris eventually...
Just go into the Common Event where the instructions are located, Edit the Show Picture command, and set Transparent Color to None.
If you are editing an image that already has a transparent color, but it doesn't show up right after placing it in the folder, you must click the Import/Export Resources button, select the folder that file would go in, click Import, then find your edited image. If that works correctly, it should show that picture in a box with a color flashing. Click on the color you want to be the new transparent. If that worked, the color you clicked should be flashing now instead. Click OK and double-check with the step above.
But I am not very good at making/ using templates, so I wanted to know if there is a way to create 2 separated tabs for Effects and Feats... I'm sending this message to various persons, so if someone already helped me with this you can ignore this message :)
