According to the creator, Hoshiko is more of the religious type (explaining the Cross effect) and believes that most of the things she sees in the computer program are evil. She is also somewhat paranoid.

According to the creator, Hoshiko refuses to leave the house because she fears what's on the other side of the door. Due to her paranoia, she would only be unable to trust any potential friends in the real world.
