Overview
Hell Diary follows the adventures of Eun ( pronounced " 은 " )through the land of "hell," the dream-world equivalent. It was made by Uboachan user Mishka ( Creator's website. )
Between v0.01 and v0.02 the graphics and many locations changed and a large part of the story was redone.
- The game is currently being rebuilt in RPG Maker VX Ace, so no further updates will be given to this RPG Maker 2003 version.
Gameplay
There are no "effects" in Hell Diary, instead there are certain glyphs that when used do things, like destroying walls. There are also items, which can be used for various purposes.
Additionally, other characters may join you along the way to help Eun along the way in the depths of Hell.
In the current unfinished 0.02c, at the start of a new game there is an option to choose either Hell Diary Scenario I or II. Hell Diary Scenario I is the game which most people are familiar with, playing as Eun. Hell Diary Scenario II is an unfinished part of the game that has very little in it, but will most likely be expanded on with the rebuild on VX Ace.
Plot
"15 Hanarenki, the year of Amiha 2220.
A strange red glow blankets the outlying Jikjon mountains
The spirits howl and the glow fades; a shaman enters Hell to commune with Amiha.
In the same town, a former Acolyte stirs...
With a heavy feeling in the pit of her stomach
and guidance by the talisman's glow, Utai Eun
prepares to commune with Hell and prevent
a dark plot from being set in motion..."
From what have been told so far, it seems that a shaman entered hell to commune with a being called "Amiha" regarding a strange glow in the Jikjon Mountains. But the shaman did not return, and so Eun is preparing to enter Hell herself to find out what happened.
Characters
There are a number of characters in Hell Diary, some join you party to aid you, but will need to be dropped off somewhere if you wish to return to your material body.
Eun carrying office supplies.
Eun - The main character. You play as her. Works for a software company called Delmunsoft.
Captain Utai Chun - Eun's little sister. A soldier for the Royal Galwi Legion.
Noriko - A girl found in Hell's library who is mourning her death and separation from her brother, who she feels she has failed for having left behind. Eun cheers her up and helps her realize she's not a bad person for having died.
Anastasiya Faulken (Nastya) - A Bromnian student lost in the school-like area of Hell. Eun finds her shut away in a closet, and from there the player can escort her to various safer locations.
Inspector Fumiko - Found in the docks. She works for Hell's police force. Helps Eun with her investigation in exchange for intel.
Inspector Takako - Works for Hell's Police force. She's new.
