Overview[]

Gnosis is a fangame made by jcm2 starring Doug Bigham, a man exploring his dreams and memories.

The project was abandoned in 2014.

Plot[]

Doug Bigham liven an enjoyable life as a member of a safety riot team, until he found himself lying in the middle of the debris of a town with no memory and serious injuries. His dream world and memories are his only method to rebuild the events that brought him to that situation.

Effects[]

Effects with an action can be usually toggled with Shift, though sometimes the 2 key can cause actions (cancelled with 3). At least 17 primary effects, including Kama-El, are required for getting an ending.

Outside of the regular 19 effects, there are also Gag Effects that can be collected but not used.

Pistol		Doug carries a pistol, chasing away NPCs and killing them. Pressing Shift makes Doug reload the gun.
Memories (Oldman)		Doug becomes an old man with a cane.
Riot Police		Doug wears a riot suit. Pressing 2 makes Doug wear a hat and a baton that can be removed with the 3 key. This effect helps against gangster chasers.
Welder Mask		Doug wears a welding helmet.
Child		Doug becomes his 8-year-old self.
Plastic Bag		Doug wears a bloody plastic bag on his head.
Responsible Adult		Doug becomes his 23-year-old self, wearing a white shirt and smoking a cigarette. Pressing Shift makes him exhale.
Black/White Mask		Doug wears a black cane and a plague mask with red eyes. Pressing Shift attracts rocks. Doug wears a white plague mask and his right arm glows green. Pressing Shift repulses rocks. You can only get one of the two effects.
Young		Doug becomes his 17-year-old self. Pressing the 2 key teleports him to his old room, he can leave after pressing the 3 key.
Funeral		Doug wears a black suit and tie.
Voyeur		Doug smiles and becomes monochrome, walking with his hands behind his back.
Dark Man		Doug becomes entirely black, except for a white face and glowing blue eyes.
Gasmask		Doug wears a radiation suit with a green-eyed gas mask.
Crow		Doug transforms into a crow (there are 3 forms) and his speed increased. Pressing Shift makes him squawk.
My Hero		Doug wears a blue shirt and transforms into a big cat plush. Pressing Shift makes him meow and lets you save the game.
Doug Bigham		Doug becomes some kind of action figure.
Fright		Doug transforms into a black, Uboa-like monster. Pressing Shift makes him laugh maniacally.
Fake Fox		Doug wears an orange fox costume with a green coat and top hat.
Kama-El		Doug transforms into a demon capable of scaring and eating most NPCs. Pressing Shift makes him roar loudly.
Terror		Doug's mouth became bigger and looks like a monster and the back of the head is bleeding.

Doug Norris		Doug wears a cowboy suit, which is reference to Chuck Norris's role in the series Walker, Texas Ranger. He can kill the gangster chasers when in a certain place in this form.
Super Beard		Doug's beard gets longer.
Senor Toy		Doug becomes a big head with hands and feets, which is a reference to the popular toy Mr.Potato Head.
Troll		Doug becomes a troll from the popular webcomic Homestuck.
Protagonist		Doug becomes a typical feminine Yume Nikki Fangame protagonist.
