Overview

Separation Anxiety is an English fangame created by ConeCvltist for Dream Diary Jam 5. The game was developed in RPG Maker VX Ace.

Gameplay

Separation Anxiety is a traditional fangame. Interacting with the hole in the wall takes the player to the dream world, with the Nexus divided into three rooms. The goal is to explore and collect all of the effects to unlock the ending. Interacting with the open book in the bedroom allows the player to save.

Plot

You play as Meiko, a girl who has a troubled home life. A strange hole opens in her bedroom wall one day, leading into a world of her subconscious...

Effects

Effect	Image	Description
UFO		Meiko becomes a UFO, doubling her speed.
Hammer		Meiko wields a sledgehammer as a weapon, allowing her to kill NPCs when interacting with them.
Witch		Meiko is dressed as a witch. Pressing A makes her cast a spell.
Pajamas		Meiko wears pajamas. Pressing A will make fall asleep, pressing A again will wake her up.
Chameleon		Meiko becomes a chameleon. Pressing A makes her change color.
Doodle		Meiko becomes a paper doodle. Pressing A transforms her into a paper plane.
