Akira is the main character of Returning Nightmares.

Akira has short brown hair and purple eyes. He wears a white sweater with red circles on the front that connect together in an angular 8-like shape over what may be a brown turtleneck shirt. Along with this he wears a light brown jacket, brown pants and red and white sneakers.

Not much is known about Akira's past. He was part of a gang at some point with several of his friends from school. He seems to have isolated himself in his room since then before the start of the game, though the exact reasons for doing so are not given.
